9th International Music Festival was a well-attended success!

TMM’s 9th International Music Festival was a well attended success!

Texas Music Museum’s 9th International Music Festival was held September 7 and 8, 2019 in collaboration with and presented at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural, and Genealogy Center, 1165 Angelina Street, Austin. This festival is held in early September every year. As in all of our previous years, this year’s festival was well attended and a great success.

TMM International Music Festivals annually feature a diverse set of accomplished Texas musicians, dancers and groups who performed authentic international–specific song, music and dance to promote appreciation of music and traditions from many cultures that are now part of the Austin and Texas ethnic fabric, including Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, the Indian sub-continent, Latin/Central/South Americans, and the Middle East.

The Texas Music Museum is an all-volunteer organization, supported primarily by individual donations. There is no fee to visit our museum or to attend our programs, although donations are appreciated.

At the festival, a  $10.00 donation per adult is suggested,  but not required. The generous donations by many who attended the festival are greatly appreciated and enable us to continue to offer excellent programs. The annual festival is supported in large part by the City of Austin’s Office/Cultural Arts Division.    THANK YOU to everyone who has attended and supported the Texas Music Museum’s  International Music Festivals over the past nine years!

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE 9TH INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL IN 2020!

We also invite you to visit the Texas Music Museum at 1009 East 11th Street, Austin.
